The Following is froshblog’s Declaration of Intent, originally posted on the Front Page.
My name is Michael, and I am one of the two administrators of the blog you are currently fixated upon, froshblog.
This post, our first, is one to clarify our intent, or our purpose, as a blog. For starters, froshblog will be written by two BCA freshmen, part of the Class of 2011:
- Anna Gionet
Anna is, and I quote, “a teenager who, like most high-schoolers, is trying to get by without getting crushed and spends more time with her keyboard at three in the morning than most people do all day.”
- Michael Ciszewski
Michael is, and I say (in the third person), “a (mostly) normal guy who enjoys a good sweater, a short read, and some really good music. When he’s feeling creative, he writes stuff. He doesn’t know why.”
We are froshblog.
froshblog promises to:
- write about what matters to us
- write about what we think matters to you
- write about what’s happening in the world of bca
- write a fair amount of useful nonsense for you to sink your teeth into
- do what we do best (or so we hope): compare, argue, review and explain
- collaborate in an attempt to fill this white space with something you’ll enjoy
- make you bookmark, rss, or whatever us so that you’ll come back often
- be your friend
… and most importantly:
- try not to waste your time
We want froshblog to be as successful as possible. So, please, please, please, if you like froshblog, spread the good word.
